Our Pastor

Pastor Jerry has been married for 30 years to his college sweetheart, Barb. They have 3 adult sons and two granddaughters. Pastor Jerry is the son of German immigrants. He never owned a Bible growing up. It wasn’t until he attended the University of Wisconsin- Green Bay that he heard the gospel. In the summer of 1978, Pastor Jerry’s eyes were opened and he believed Jesus promise “For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only son that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

After his involvement in InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and New Hope Church, Jerry and Barb moved to the San Diego, CA area for him to attend Westminster Seminary to prepare for ministry. Pastor Jerry earned his Master of Arts in Religion and Master of Divinity during 1982-86.

After serving two congregations in California, God providentially brought the Neumair family to Michigan to start a new congregation for the Orthodox Presbyterian Church.

Pastor Jerry is a preacher, teacher, counselor and evangelist. His heart is for everyone to know forgiveness through faith in Jesus, to shepherd the church like a loving father and to present every man, woman and child before Jesus to hear “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

Pastor Jerry would consider it an honor and sacred responsibility to shepherd your family.
